To improve the user experience during the resulting waiting time, we developed and evaluated two chatbot prototypes that translate the concepts of “time fillers” and “time and queue information”, which are beneficial in physical waits, into the digital environment. Results confirm the potential of these concepts to enhance the user experience during chatbot waits.
